Amanda is one of the first fellow grad students I met upon arrival on Enders Island for residency at Fairfield University’s creative writing MFA program. She earned her terminal degree in poetry while I earned mine in nonfiction. Amanda formed the band Steel Siren, that later grew and became The Siren. Her lyrics and vocals are dark and edgy in all the best ways.
