I Escaped Into a Dream – lyrics

John Cooperider
John Cooperider

The Formula One was waiting for me
Just an autobahn ride down to Hungary
Freddy and I in his cherry sports car
Left Vienna one day at two hundred per hour

We’re meeting some girls, he confided in me
I know that you’ll like them, just wait and see
They’re young little virgins and Schumacher fans
I’ve arranged everything, I’ve made all the plans

“Virgins,” you say? Did I hear that one right?
Wanted out of the car, but there was nowhere in sight
I escaped into a dream – Dreaming I’d run far away
Only in my dream, could I make this go away

These girls fulfill my need, Freddy said through my haze
So I can spread my seed; his words seemed cra-zy

John Profile Bass“Seed,” did he say? Did I hear that one right?
Wanted out of the car, but there was nowhere in sight
I escaped into a dream – Dreaming I’d run far away
Only in my dream, could I make this go away

Twin girls offered up by their father, each one barely fourteen
Their giggled misunderstanding at what this all could mean

“Fourteen,” did he say? Did I hear that one right?
Wanted out of the car, but there was nowhere in sight
I’ve gotta escape, but I can’t see the light
Wanted out of the car, but there was nowhere in sight
I escaped into a dream – Dreaming I’d run far away
Only in my dream, could I make this go away
